Mailing List Process

Brief

Moonpig.com is a business based in London and Guernsey which sells personalised greeting cards. In 2007 the company was responsible for 90 percent of the online greeting card market in the United Kingdom, with nearly six million cards shipped.

I brought in by Moonpig.com in 1999 before the website was full-launched in July 2000. As they wanted to push and improve the Mailing List tool on the website before the Christmas, as they believed this tool is perfect for sending Christmas cards, but also invitations and announcements all year round. For example: If you want to send the same card design but personalised for lots of different recipients, the mailing list feature will help you do this. Note, the cards are sent directly to the recipients’ addresses, by adding details to the Moonpig address books.

Unfortunately the Mailing List tool had been used only 2% by customers since they soft-launched. After I worked with the business team, marketing team and developers within 2 weeks, I came up with the designs and solutions with a full scale of user journey and easy interface designs.
